Lambertsson wins big site hut contract

Lambertsson has won a large rental contract to supply 200 site huts and a service depot for a new combined heat and power plant in Örtofta, north east of Lund in southern Sweden.

The client is energy company Kraftringen Energi, which is building the SEK2.4 billion (€220 million) plant with Peab and other contractors.

Groundwork is already underway to prepare for connections, cables and switchgear for Lambertsson’s delivery.

A total of approximately 5,000m2 of land has been allocated for the site huts, which will be set up on two levels, approximately ten by ten. The installation will include 120 site offices and two conference rooms for 40 people each.

Around 130 of the sheds are located at Lambertsson’s facility in Ängelholm, while the rest have been brought in from Gävle, Uppsala, Västerås, Jordbro, Linköping, Karlstad, Örebro and Lindome. The huts have been refreshed and repainted.

The contract includes a project depot on site, and a service station that will provide all types of equipment and products throughout the construction period.

“It feels absolutely fantastic to land such a comprehensive assignment,” said Victor Lange, project manager at Lambertsson in Helsingborg. “All the details are being refined right now.”

The new plant is being built next to the existing one and will approximately double the production capacity in Örtofta, with construction work scheduled to be complete by the winter/spring of 2028/29.
