Kiloutou chalks up another acquisition in Spain

Kiloutou said the deal, the fourth in Spain in just over a year, would allow its Spanish operation to add six branches to its network in the regions of La Rioja, Aragon, Castile & León, and the Basque Country.

Mavyal, founded in 1987, is a generalist rental firm with a team of 45 people. It manages over 3,500 pieces of rental equipment and offers customised services for large scaffolding projects along with a range of consumables.

Kiloutou said the transaction has been approved by the Spanish Merger Control Authority, although it did not reveal how much it has paid for the business.

It’s the latest in a series of acquisitions the French company has made in Spain, after it added ToolQuick in October 2024, and then Liftisa and Gloobal (both in December 2024).

Kiloutou said the new transaction allows it to continue building a generalist network, in order to achieve national coverage of the Spanish market and improve its range of products and services for its local and national customers.

Kiloutou Spain’s network currently comprises 61 branches and 500 employees.

Kiloutou aims to increase its business outside France to nearly 50% of its revenue by 2030.

It currently operates in seven European countries: Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, and Portugal, with a total network of 600 branches.
