Kennards spreads the load

Australian rental company Kennards Hire has added two modular 300-tonne spreader beams to its Lift & Shift product offering.

Offering a maximum width of 26 m, it said the new spreader beams weighed 6600 kg when fully assembled, excluding shackles or rigging gear.



“These spreader beams are the newest edition to the extensive range of bars and beams available from Kennards Hire Lift & Shift, which now spans from 250 kg to 300 t,” said Andrew Lambert, general manager, Kennards Hire Lift & Shift.



Kennards Hire said the new spreader beams were well-suited to projects across the mining, oil and gas industry, as well as major civil construction and infrastructure developments and shipping ports.

The company said it had two units available: one in Western Australia and the other housed in Queensland. “This enables us to send them to one of our nine specialist branches throughout Australia and make them available at very short notice,” said Mr Lambert.
