Kaplan to speak at ERA convention

By Murray Pollok22 April 2008

Renowned US rental consultant Dan Kaplan will give the keynote address at the European Rental Association’s annual convention in Amsterdam in June. The convention tales place alongside the new International Rental Exhibition (IRE) at the RAI exhibition centre on 3-5 June.

Mr Kaplan, who is a past president of Hertz Equipment Rental Co and now the rental sector’s foremost commentator, will be able to talk with authority on the current North American rental scene and on the development of rental worldwide, including Europe.

The keynote address will be just one element of a three-day programme of seminars and workshops being organised by ERA during the IRE show. The programme also includes the first ever European Rental Awards, to be presented at ERA’s formal dinner on the evening of 4 June.

Meanwhile, support for the IRE exhibition from equipment suppliers continues to grow. Over 80 companies have already confirmed their participation in the event, with JCB the latest to sign up, joining other big name producers including Ammann, Atlas Copco Portable Air, Bobcat, Ditch Witch, Doosan Infracore Portable Power, Genie, Haulotte, JLG, Hitachi, Kaeser, Manitou and Wacker Neuson.
