JLG launches telehandler e-books for iPad

11 December 2012

JLG Industries, Inc. has launched two free telehandler-focused e-books for Apple iPads.

The interactive books (one about JLG Telehandlers in general and the other about SkyTrak telehandlers) combine product specifications with telehandler product features, benefits, options and accessories, and a description of JLG Ground Support services.

JLG said the books also incorporate high-resolution photos and demonstration videos to help readers learn more about the JLG and SkyTrak line of telehandlers. The e-books let customers and dealers working in the field to replace brochures and computers with" more portable mobile devices that provide access to valuable product information," JLG said. In addition, a dealer locator can direct readers to a nearby JLG dealer to encourage local connections.

“JLG understands that our customers are growing increasingly more dependent on technology, including mobile devices, in both their professional and personal lives, and are always looking for innovative solutions to solve the tasks before them. To meet that need and offer an engaging experience, we are thrilled to introduce these new e-books to our customers, so that they can interact with JLG products in new and exciting ways,” said Brad Nelson, JLG Industries global vice president – marketing. “This platform brings together our printed and multimedia materials in one, easy-to-use tool that will provide our customers with easily accessible information in an innovative format.”

The JLG and SkyTrak telehandler e-books are available for viewing on iPads in English, and to support JLG’s Latin American customers, Spanish and Portuguese versions will be available soon. To download the free books, visit www.jlg.com/eBook1.
