Netherlands rental company Boels Vehuur has expanded into heavy construction equipment rental with the acquisition of Belgian company De Block-Lambin NB. The price was not disclosed. Located near Antwerp, De Block-Lambin was established in 1953 and rents excavators up to 25 t, heavy compaction equipment and dump trucks, as well as some aerial platforms, telehandlers and compressors. The company reported rental revenues of €5,5 million in 2006. The De Block-Lambin deal is the third by Boels in just four months. In February is bought Netherlands hoist and transport platform specialist Veldhuizen van Zanten BV (VVZ) from Nijkerk, and in April added another Dutch company, Munsters Verhuur, a tool rental company with two locations.
