IPAF raises more than £10,000 with PAINT scheme

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has raised more than £10,000 with its Powered Access Industry Trust (PAINT) scheme, thanks to IPAF members and supporters across the powered access industry.

Launched in 2025 in partnership with Weston Park Cancer Charity, PAINT gives companies across the powered access industry a simple way to contribute to cancer research and make a positive difference to people affected by cancer.

The initiative was established to bring the industry together behind an important cause. IPAF members can nominate a machine in their fleet as a dedicated ‘PAINT machine’, with a proportion of the rental income donated each time it is hired. Companies can also contribute through other revenue streams, including training income, or make a direct donation.

The £10,000 milestone demonstrates the impact that can be made when businesses across the industry work together. IPAF thanked contributors 1Up Access, Midland Access, Mr Plant Hire, Premier Platforms, Hoist Hire Services, GT Access, APL and Davis Access for their contributions to the scheme.

Martin Wraith, IPAF’s Rental+ manager, founded the scheme with Weston Park Cancer Charity. He said, “Reaching £10,000 is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the generosity of our members. PAINT was created to give our industry an opportunity to come together and support cancer research, and it is fantastic to see members embracing the initiative.

“Cancer affects so many of us, whether personally or through our families, friends and colleagues. Every donation, whatever its size, can help make a difference. I would like to thank everyone who has supported PAINT so far and helped us reach this important milestone.”

Funds raised through PAINT are donated to Weston Park Cancer Charity, supporting vital cancer research at the Weston Park Cancer Clinical Trials Centre in Sheffield. The centre delivers innovative clinical trials, helping to provide patients with access to new and potentially life-changing cancer treatments.
