Intermat Middle East opens in Abu Dhabi

The exhibition and conference is officially opened by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan the UAE Federal Minister of Public Works.

The second Intermat Middle East exhibition and conference has opened in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Held between October 8 and 10 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), this year's event takes place under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Federal Minister of Public Works.

Exhibitors at the event include: Liebherr, Terex Finlay, Sennebogen, Putzmeister, Zyraxes, Abu Amer Equipment, Miller UK, WireCo World, ERKAT, Trade House Gidroprivod, Atlas-Copco, ELSA, Manitowoc, NFT Cranes, Liugong, Robit Rocktools, Ramtec Robi, Goldhofer, Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik, Kanoo, Bobcat, T.G.S - The Grab Specialist, Beco, Al Naboodah, Techking Tires, Blastrac, SK Solutions, ThyssenKrupp, Xcentric International, SUCOOT Industrial, REMU, Sundhills East - MarketBook, All Packs International, Matsuyama, Doosan, Bin Brook Motors, Costex and more.

Maryvonne Lanoë, Intermat's exhibition director, said, "We are very grateful to have the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. The UAE has established its presence as the centre for trade and development in the region.

Support from regional governments and municipalities, who are developing urban master plans and multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects, plays an important role in ensuring the success of this international trade exhibition for construction products, building machinery, materials and equipment. Intermat Middle East 2012 will aim to support the region's significant investments over the coming years in the construction and infrastructure sectors."

The organisers are hoping to attract more than 7,000 international buyers to the show, which will have an outdoor area in addition to 20,000 m2 (gross) of indoor exhibition space.
