HSS launches printed hire guide

HSS: The Hire Service Company has announced that its HSS hire guide is to return in print format.

The guide, which contains equipment, detailed technical specifications and safety considerations for users, has been available in a digital only format for the last five years.

Free printed editions of the 130+ page guides are now being made available across its local branches across the UK.

CEO Jon Overman said, “For a long time, our hire guide has been a kind of comfort blanket for tool hire – a valuable reference tool for customers and colleagues alike. It’s always been available digitally but both our customers and colleagues have told us they’ve missed having an actual catalogue.

“They said that digital is all well and good but that they like having a printed copy to thumb through, to scribble notes on, to have to hand in the office or in their glovebox.

“So much so, that some people are still using old printed copies from 2019 held together with tape! And when we mentioned to customers that we might be bringing it back, we actually ended up with a waiting list!

“With that much love for our hire guide, and with our focus on service and delivering what customers want, we felt it was only right to put it back into print this year”.

Meanwhile, the company is also launching its random acts of breakfast” initiative throughout January, which will see it hand out Greggs, Birds Bakery and other local café vouchers to customers in a drive to “help make the cold mornings a little more palatable.”
