HKL expands Lower Saxony network with two new depots
23 June 2025

Germany-based rental company HKL Baumaschinen has opened two new locations in Nienburg/Weser and Wilhelmshaven in the northwest region of Lower Saxony.
The company said the openings support its continued expansion strategy and commitment to customer proximity, bringing its total number of locations to more than 180 across Germany, Austria and Poland.
Both new centres are designed to offer customers quick access to compact construction machinery and equipment for rent or purchase, alongside on-site service workshops and HKL’s signature Baushop retail offering, which includes small tools, site equipment and consumables.
Frank Janssen, Regional Manager for Northwest Lower Saxony and Bremen, said the new centres reflect the company’s focus on local availability and hands-on support.
“With our new centres, we are reinforcing our market position in northwest Lower Saxony. Our customers benefit from short distances, fast availability, and strong, competent teams on site,” said Janssen.
Each centre also includes fully equipped workshops for customer and rental machine servicing, along with a modern Baushop, offering tools, safety gear and daily-use construction site equipment.
HKL has been active in the equipment rental sector for over 55 years and is one of Europe’s largest owner-managed rental companies. In 2024, the company generated more than €500 million in revenue across its rental, sales and service divisions.
The company said further openings are scheduled for the second half of 2025, with new HKL centres planned in Ansbach, Bielefeld, Bochum, Celle and Hof.
