UK-based rental company Hewden has won the Gold Medal at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards for the seventh consecutive year.

Hewden was the only rental firm recognised with a Gold Medal, which is issued to a select few companies across multiple industries that demonstrate ‘Gold level standards’ for a minimum of five consecutive years.

Susan Shardlow, risk and compliance director at Hewden, said: “As a business we work tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers is at the centre of everything we do.

“We pride ourselves on being the safest hire firm to do business with and this award acts as a testament to that.”

Hewden will be presented with the award at a ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel in Scotland in September.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Hewden, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
