Growth for GreenMech’s woodchipper range

By Belinda Smart12 January 2021

GreenMech is introducing new products and upgrades in its woodchipper range.

The company is expanding its EVO 165 series of woodchippers for professional arborists. Joining the range from early 2021 will be the EVO 165PT - a fixed-track model with a 37hp petrol engine, and a SAFE-Trak variant of the original EVO diesel model, which will become the EVO 165DST.

The new products build on the original EVO 165D, its subsequent evolution into a tracked variant, and the more recent introduction of a SUB-750kg petrol machine.

In addition to new tracked models, EVO is also launching an 8-inch product line. The EVO 205D will feature a Stage V compliant 50hp Kubota Diesel engine and new GreenMech “Smart Sense” Controller for intelligent feed speed. The machine’s Smart Economy option is designed to optimise fuel efficiencies.

Available at launch in road-tow format, SAFE-Trak and SURE-Trak versions of the EVO 205D will be released later this year as replacements for the 19-28 models.

Meanwhile, ahead of the June revised cut-off date for the manufacture and sale of pre-Stage V engined units, GreenMech is introducing a range of new engine options across its Quad and Arborist collections, along with new additions to the EVO series.

The company is launching new compliant diesel engine options and extending its petrol offering across the most popular ranges.

A 25hp Kubota diesel engine is being introduced in the QuadChip and QuadTrak 160D models (replacing the non-compliant 34hp engine), along with a 37hp petrol option for the QuadChip and QuadTrak 160P. Fitted with the 37hp Vanguard petrol engine, the 160P machines are designed to offer comparable performance to the diesel-powered alternative at a reduced cost.

Designed to handle large quantities of bulky material, the new Arborist 200P – powered by a 57hp Kubota petrol engine, “will boast impressive torque and pull-through” and features a 200mm x 280mm letterbox opening.
