Goscor Hi-Reach placed an order for more than 80 Terex AWP Genie platforms, including the SX-180 superboom, at the recent Bauma Africa exhibition in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Distributor in southern Africa for Genie Industries, Teupen, Custom Equipment and PB Lifttechnik, Goscor Hi-Reach acquired the machines for sister company, Goscor Access Rental.

The 180 ft Genie SX-180 is the world's biggest telescopic boom. It was launched at Bauma, Munich in April and will be the first to be delivered to Africa.

Dean Jones, Goscor Access Rental managing director said there were plenty of opportunities in the market for the SX-180. “We have also ordered a number of other boom lifts, rough terrain scissors, as well as some slab scissors to supplement our growing rental fleet."

Operating from its headquarters in Alrode, Johannesburg, Goscor Hi-Reach also provides spares, ongoing maintenance and repairs, as well as full refurbishment.
