In addition to 2013’s impressive order of over 300 Atlas Copco compressors, GAP has added another 400.

UK rental company GAP Group has ordered 400 compressors from manufacturer Atlas Copco.

The deal comes almost a year after GAP ordered more than 300 Atlas Copco compressors, and signed a deal that saw Atlas Copco become its sole compressor supplier for two years.

The latest order, which consists of one- and two-tool compressors as well as heavier duty industry compressors, will be delivered throughout 2014. The range includes the XAS 47, 67, 137 and 186, some with generator variants and hard hat canopies.

The order also coincides with GAP’s Sapphire Anniversary, celebrating 45 years of successful trading. One Atlas Copco XAS 47 DDG compressor generator has been painted in sapphire blue – the 45th Anniversary theme – and will be used on various sites around the country.

John Fitzpatrick, Atlas Copco business line manager for construction tools and portable energy, said, “Our market leading equipment and strong relationship with GAP has meant that we continue to be its sole supplier for compressors. We hope that our updated range and country-wide service back-up will allow the relationship to grow well into the future.”
