GAP goes easy on the environment

20 May 2015

GAP Hire Solutions is strengthening its Welfare Services division with a substantial investment in environmentally friendly mobile welfare units.

The investment is the result of an exclusive partnership with leading manufacturer, AJC Trailers, with GAP expected to buy 60 units a month.

GAP Welfare Services has worked with AJC to modify its existing EasyCabin welfare units and make them exclusive to the company by installing additional features such as an amp fuse upgrade to prevent overloading and a detachable canteen worktop.

Welfare Services division manager Keith Bodinnar said: “After much consideration on choosing the most suitable welfare unit for our division, we decided on the EasyCabin as it offered the best environmental benefits to our customers.

“AJC was very keen to work with us to adjust their standard unit and we are delighted with the result. With all the environmentally weighted features and sustainable attributes contained within the eco12, we are able to supply our customers with a modern welfare solution that reduces their carbon footprint and benefits the wider environment.”

From delivery, the units can be set up for use in 30 seconds, with environmental benefits including improved fuel consumption and reduced carbon emissions and servicing costs. The units will be available to hire immediately from GAP Welfare Services depots in the UK.

The purchasing of the new units follows GAP’s pledge to choose the most sustainably viable products on the market, as part of the company’s Green Action Plan, which sets out GAP’s commitment to protect the environment and help customers reduce their impact.
