Fluor sells Ameco North America for $73m

North American rental equipment and fleet services business, AMECO has been sold for $73 million (€61 million), by its parent, global engineering and construction company Fluor Corporation, to One Equity Partners (OEP), a private equity firm.

OEP’s statement on the acquisition confirms it has appointed Gary Bernardez as CEO upon the transaction’s completion. Bernandez led AMECO from 2001 to 2012 and will become its CEO upon the transaction’s closing.
