The virtual event, to be held on September 13, will also include speakers from engineering firm Jacobs, Volvo Construction Equipment, contractor and manufacturer Bauer and the World Green Building Council.

Ailish, a leading figure in Ferrovial’s commitment to sustainability, will describe how her company’s ‘green’ targets are applied at project level to achieve business and client low carbon goals.

She will also highlight the urgent need for collaboration, share the knowledge gained through her academic studies, and describe how Ferrovial deploys innovation and technology across the industry to accelerate sector decarbonisation.

During the event, summit panellists will examine topics aimed at helping construction businesses achieve the goal of net zero carbon construction, without negatively impacting their bottom line.

These will include the use of low-carbon materials and zero-emissions equipment, as well as a host of digital technologies and innovative methodologies.

The Construction Sustainability Summit will begin at 3pm (UK time) on September 13, with an anticipated run time of two hours.
