Amsterdam's RAI centre is easily reachable from Schiphol Airport and the city centre.

The first International Rental Exhibition (IRE) will be held in Amsterdam in June, 2008. The new show, organised in co-operation with the European Rental Association (ERA), will be held at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam on June 3, 4 and 5, 2008.

An integral part of the event will be the European Rental Association's annual conference (June 4-5). The prestigious event will be held alongside the main exhibition in a purpose-built conference hall. Many other international and domestic associations and federations are also expected to hold meetings and conferences during the event.

The exhibition will be open to all suppliers to the rental sector: equipment manufacturers, including both global companies and small local suppliers, and suppliers of specialist services to the rental sector such as software and asset tracking technology. The ERA also hopes the show will provide suppliers with an opportunity to present equipment and products tailored for the rental sector. The main focus of the show will be compact equipment and tools.

Gérard Deprez, chairman of the European Rental Association said, “the time is right for a new rental event in Europe, and the ERA is putting its full support behind the International Rental Exhibition in Amsterdam. We will be looking to bring together the whole rental industry under one roof. This is a great opportunity for the European, regional and international rental industries.”

The International Rental Exhibition also has the official support of International Rental News (IRN) and the magazine's publisher, KHL Group. The show will be organised by Industrial Promotions International (IPI), the Netherlands-based exhibitions organiser.

The IRE event will also provide a focus for the huge potential of developing rental markets in eastern Europe and the rest of the world, and will be an international meeting place for rental's top people and companies.

Tony Kenter, chairman of IPI, said the equipment rental market continued to grow at a great pace and was attracting many new companies and users all the time; “The sector has great potential and we see the International Rental Exhibition becoming an integral part of turning that potential into reality”.

Publisher of International Rental News magazine, James King, said, “the global rental market is currently worth more than €60 billion, but that is set to grow significantly. The opportunities for both existing and potential rental operations and suppliers of all sizes is tremendous. Through our partnership with the ERA, IRN and the IRE, we will promote rental throughout Europe and all regions of the world.”

The RAI exhibition centre is just minutes by train from the international Schiphol airport and just metres from the well-connected autobahn network around the city of Amsterdam. The exhibition centre has its own, dedicated railway station and there are short tram, bus and taxi links to Amsterdam's centre and its famous downtown attractions.
