EquipmentShare has filed initial IPO documents on the Nasdaq exchange, with no guide price or valuation given as yet.

The IPO, after which EquipmentShare stock would be traded under the EQPT symbol, would see the issue of Class A and Class B shares. Co-founding brothers, Jabbok Schlacks, the CEO, and Willy Schlacks, who is president, will hold Class B shares and together form the ‘controlling company’ for the business.

In its filing, Equipment Share revealed revenues of US$2.81 billion for the nine months to 30 September 2025, which is 27% higher than the same period in 2024. Revenues for the full year 2024 were $3.76 billion.

Speaking to IRN before the filing, Willy Schlacks said the time was right for the IPO; “Being public feels really appropriate for our company. We like the challenge of what that environment could bring.

“We definitely think - because of our scale and ambition - that being public is a much better environment. It just is far faster when you’re thinking about capital from financing from a debt or equity perspective, it’s just a lot faster and easier than private.

“It’s all transparent. There’s a known quantity and the conversations are far quicker and the access to capital is far faster and cheaper. So that’s really attractive to us. So, it helps us spend more time serving our customers and that’s a primary motivation.

He said the IPO would not have an impact on the commitment to the business of him and his brother; “It does not. We control the company - we’ll continue to control the company. It just frees us up, gives us more time to focus on customers. Being public is just pretty attractive to us.”
