Equipment Depot expands partnership with intralogistics robotics firm

Equipment Depot has expanded its partnership with automated technologies specialist Movu Robotics to enable it to automate its EQSOLUTIONS division. 

Launched in 2020, EQSOLUTIONS is the systems integration division of Equipment Depot that specialises in warehouse and automation solutions for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facilities.

The deal with Movu, which designs, manufactures and implements advanced storage solutions and automated warehouse systems, will enable the division to streamline picking and transportation through the use of robots and and autonomous vehicles.

Marc Terwilliger, VP of EQSOLUTIONS, said the partnership will provide priority-level attention for warehouse projects; “As Equipment Depot advances its overall product and service offerings, the collaboration with Movu’s innovative plug-and-play automation technologies is a perfect fit.

“Together, we are setting new standards in warehouse efficiency by providing a competitive edge to businesses looking to leverage integrated warehouse solutions and modern innovation.”

Stefan Pieters, CEO, Movu Robotics, added, “Our solutions are designed to make warehouse automation and robotics not only more accessible but also more scalable.

This latest news comes months after the Equipment Depot’s CEO, Anthony Garcia, said that Equipment Depot would be “on the forefront” of technological advancement such as automation, electrification, robotics, and AI.

The company also cited the latest research from United States-based Garter Inc, which forecasts that 75% of large businesses will adopt some form of intralogistics smart robots by 2028, highlighting the industry-wide shift towards greater automation.
