Dumper launch from Hinowa

Hinowa is set to reveal the prototype of its long-awaited all new compact tracked mini-dumper.

The HS701 will make its first showing at Vertikal Days. It is astand-on, diesel-powered, 0.29m³ capacity dumper with a mast-type hi-tip feature, enabling it to load skips up to 1.35m high.

It is the latest in the Italian manufacturer’s growing range of tracked dumpers, which are increasingly used for materials handling in horticulture, landscaping, agriculture, construction and estates or facilities management. The first production models are expected in September.

Preliminary specifications include a 7kW (9.4HP) Kubota engine, two-speed gearbox, and a top speed of 3.8km/h. At 758mm wide, it is designed to comfortably pass through a garden gateway or standard door. The prototype has a fixed undercarriage but Hinowa will offer a hydraulic widening version as on other models. Load capacity is 550kg to heights of up to 1.35m and the bucket can be tilted by up to 88˚.

Hinowa will unveil the machine on its own dedicated stand (131) at Vertikal Days 2014. The company’s attendance is in conjunction with Access Platform Sales (APS), the exclusive UK distributor for Hinowa.

Richard Tindale, sales and marketing director for IAPS Group, which owns APS, said, “The arrival of the HS701 will allow Hinowa to meet the fleet needs of the larger tool hire companies who are currently struggling to find a high quality, robust and well-supported tracked dumper of this specification.

“Vertikal Days is traditionally a cranes and access show, but it increasingly attracts a lot of UK tool and equipment hire companies. We know from past events that the mini-dumpers attract a lot of attention so we feel it is the right event for us to showcase the prototype and get final customer feedback ahead of series production.”
