New access equipment from manufacturers Snorkel and Skyjack has been added to Irish rental company Dromad Hire’s fleet.
From Snorkel, Dromad took delivery of two AB38E electric articulated booms. These machines are said to provide zero emissions, zero noise and a 13.5m maximum working height and up to 5.9m of horizontal reach.
The AB38E also boasts an ultra-tight turning radius along with hydraulic rotational platform and non-marking tyres, making it well-suited to working indoors on sensitive flooring. The machine is 1.49m wide for passing through doorways or in between buildings and has an overall height of less than 2m.
Dromad managing director Seamus Byrne said, “We have been running AB38s in our fleet now for some time, so the machine is already proven to us, Snorkel UK provide us with excellent backup and support so this made our decision over choosing other manufacturers a very easy one.
“The new AB30E models further extends our product offering in electric boom lifts, which are increasingly in demand with our customers due to their specialised applications - particularly indoor use.”
Meanwhile, Dromad also invested in a range of battery-powered scissor lifts From Skyjack, ranging from 5.8m to 11.9m along with a rough terrain 9250 diesel scissor.
Skyjack Europe sales manager Glyn Goodwin said, “Dromad have taken quite a number of units now throughout 2015/16, which obviously demonstrates their commitment to deliver the most up to date product to their customer. And I look forward to 2017 being another successful year in working with Dromad.”
And Dromad’s Mr Byrne said, “The service and backup we receive from skyjack is second to none.
“The Sky Jack has proved to be the machine our customers now request, with new advanced features as standard, along with reliability which is paramount.”
