CPL ups electric sales

UK-based CPL, part of the Klubb Group, has received two large orders for the KL26 electric boom, mounted on the Renault Master ZE, following a significant rise in demand for fully electric van mounted platforms.

Infrafleet, a new rental company based in central London, received the first of 20 fully electric units earlier this month, with one a week now being produced to fill its customers’ requirements.

Access Hire Nationwide, Part of the Kelling Group will receive its first of 50 in the coming weeks and will be offering demonstrations in early spring.

Feedback from CPL to Renault Trucks, has resulted in the ZE being uprated from 3.1 tonne to 3.5 tonne GVW, which provides substantial payload even when converted, says the company. This has allowed CPL to offer a turnkey solution to some of its largest rental customers with orders of more than 70 units already agreed.

The KL26 boom has a working height of 11.8m and a working outreach of 6.5m. The one-man basket with no outriggers, and a cutaway design, offers a speedy set up and stow away while working on busy streets.

The Renault Master ZE conversion is fully type approved preventing long waiting times for an IVA test date. The vehicles battery allows for over 100 miles autonomy, with a maximum load and can be fully charged overnight.

Paul Murphy, CEO of CPL said, “We are very proud to be offering this solution, which is clearly supported by some of our leading customers. It’s great to see that Renault Truck have listened to our feedback and uprated the ZE model to 3.5 tonne. This cements our position in the market as leaders in innovation and forward thinking”

CPL will be exhibiting the model at the UK’s Vertikal Days exhibition in May.
