CPL Isuzu D-Max access platform CPL has become the first to offer the manufacturer approved Isuzu D-Max access platform

UK-based access specialist CPL has released its new Isuzu D-Max access platform.

It represents the first time an aerial platform has been mounted on the new Isuzu D-Max pick up in the UK.

The model sees mainly aesthetic changes to a proven design, along with improved boom docking and frontal support and in cab controls.

The boom itself is the same as the one mounted on the previous D-Max. It features a 13.1m working height, a 6.2m working outreach and market leading safe working load of 240kg. During operation, the knuckle remains firmly within the confines of the vehicle envelope.

Isuzu awarded CPL its Platinum customer status in 2019, with CPL becoming the first approved converters for the vehicle manufacturers. The company was also the first to be awarded full small series type approval on the conversion with the 3.5 tonne suspension upgrade and all terrain tyres.

With the new chassis design from Isuzu, the model keeps its 24-degree departure angle, 5 degrees of stability and 7 tonne gross train weight, along with the full range of optional extras.

The 4x4 Isuzu D-Max retains the qualities of the previous D-Max, with additional features including Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS). Standard on all models is cruise control, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, manual and intelligent speed limiter, autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning and prevention system.

Further added are the automatic headlights and high beam assist. In addition, the new Dmax also keeps the hill start and hill descent control system.

The new CPL mounted 4x4 is suited to a range of sectors, including, utilities, telecoms and tree care, among others.
