Netherlands-based Collé Rental and Sales has placed a giant order for semi-low loaders with specialist vehicle manufacturer Nooteboom.

The company, which operates around 22,000 machines, ordered a total of 26 self-steering units.

Among the new vehicles are 20 of Nooteboom’s 3-axle OSDS-48-03EB vehicles and six of its 4-axle OSDS-58-04V model, which incorporate an extendable loading floor and a payload capacity of 45 tonnes.

While the 4-axle extendable semi-low loaders have also been equipped with extra reinforced 4-metre hydraulically folding ramps for the transport tracked construction machines and wheel loaders, the 3-axle vehicles feature a 5-metre automatic hydraulic folding ramps with grid floor and a hydraulic gooseneck ramp.

“This allows aerial work platforms of up to approximately 36 tons to be loaded onto the loading floor and gooseneck very efficiently and safely,” said Collé Rental.

According to the company, which has already taken delivery of the first of its new Nooteboom units, the semi-low loaders will be spread across several of its European branches
