Leeds, UK-based equipment rental company Chippindale Plant has extended network across the north of England with the acquisition of Wilmslow Plant and AG Site Services for £2.7 million (€3.4 million).

It said Wilmslow Plant, which has been trading since 1946, employed nine staff at its Stockport site, all of who would be retained by Chippindale.

Chippindale also purchased Carrington-based AG Site Services, a provider of steel worksite units, including temporary offices, kitchen/canteens, WCs and storage containers.

Chippindale said it planned to make significant investments in other depots. The purchases increased its northern network to nine sites and more than 100 staff.
