Chepstow drives ahead with Bell ADTs

29 July 2016

UK-based mineral and aggregates contractor Chepstow Plant International has invested in 13 articulated dump trucks (ADTs) from manufacturer Bell.

As well as contracting, Chepstow operates a rental division targeting the quarrying, steelworks, power stations and earthworks sectors.

Its order with Bell consists of nine 28 tonne capacity B30Es, two 32.5 tonne capacity B35Ds and two 37 tonne payload B40Ds.

John Corcoran, managing director at Chepstow Plant International, said the investment decision had been driven by the safety features present on Bell’s ADTs.

“Safety is the number one priority in our industry and protecting our employees is of paramount importance to us. We purchased our first Bell ADT back in 2000 because of the safety features it provided. Sixteen years later, we’re still placing our confidence in Bell machines, which continue to be safe, secure and reliable.”

In addition, Bell Equipment’s Fleetm@tic fleet monitoring technology is installed in both new and existing Bell models used by Chepstow - providing the operational team with automated reports, alerts, production data and pole-to-pole satellite coverage.
