UK rental company Charles Wilson Engineers (CW Plant) has made a "significant" investment in TowerLight VT-1 lighting towers.

UK rental company Charles Wilson Engineers (CW Plant) has placed a "significant order" with TowerLight UK for the VT1 SuperLight lighting tower.

The investment means that CW Plant's lighting tower fleet comprises only hydraulic vertical mast units, the company having sold off all of its traditional horizontal, ‘up and over' lighting towers.

"The VT1 is fully compliant with all the health and safety recommendations - it eliminates the need for warning labels - which detail the dangers of falling masts, together with the requirement for mast safety pins," says Ray Caulfield, TowerLight's sales manager.

"The VT-1 also has a number of additional environmental attributes, including a full bund for all fluids and whisper quiet noise levels of just 65d(b)a". Forty VT-1's can be delivered on a single 40' flatbed vehicle.

CW Plant operates from twelve depots based around London and the south of England as well as in Liverpool, Birmingham and Bristol.
