The only region to see a decline in sales was Asia Pacific, which declined 7%. Caterpillar said that, “lower sales volume was mainly driven by the impact from changes in dealer inventories.”
Construction Industries’ segment profit was $1.030 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, a decrease of 12%, compared with the fourth quarter of 2024. The OEM said that this was primarily due to, “unfavorable manufacturing costs [that] largely reflected the impact of higher tariffs.”
The company’s Resource Industries division – which includes quarrying and mining equipment – had total sales of $3.35 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, an increase of 13%, compared with the fourth quarter of 2024.
Like the Construction Industries segment, sales were up in North America (32%), Latin America (12%) and EAME (34%) but down in Asia Pacific (15%).
As a whole, Caterpillar has sales for the fourth quarter of 2025 of $19.1 billion, an 18% increase compared with the same quarter last year. Full-year sales and revenues in 2025 were $67.6 billion, up 4% compared with $64.8 billion in 2024.
“With a record backlog, we enter the new year with strong momentum and a continued focus on delivering long-term value for our customers and shareholders,” said Caterpillar CEO Joe Creed.
