Casa do Construtor makes Chilean entrance

Casa do Construtor, the Brazilian tools and equipment rental business, is expanding its franchise operation into Chile with plans for 30 locations nationwide by 2030, reported news agency CE NoticiasFinancieras.

The company already has more than 800 stores in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina, and uses a franchise model to expand its operations.

Bruno Arena, the firm’s director of international expansion, quoted by CE NoticiasFinancieras, said; “We see enormous potential in Chile, especially in mid-sized communities where the demand for efficient solutions without investment in fixed assets is growing.”

The business is growing rapidly. In June 2023 its opened its 600th location in Brazil, and has been expanding by 20% every year.

The stores rent small tools and equipment - and no ‘yellow line’ machines – with around 65% of customers being private individuals and the rest professional customers. A typical franchise holder will have three stories and the largest has 64.
