Carrier Rental Systems (CRS) is the new global rental business within Carrier Corp's building systems and services division.

CRS is being headed by Chris Opie, who has led Carrier's US temperature control rental business for several years. He reports to Kelly Romano, who is president of Carrier's building systems and services division, which includes the rental operation.

Reporting to Mr Opie is Richard Jones, the UK-based director of CRS's International business. Mr Jones, who took up his post on 1 January this year following the Longville acquisition, has been with Carrier since 2003, having been an employee of building systems company Chubb when it was acquired by Carrier. In 2004 he starting working for Toshiba Carrier UK, becoming managing director.

Carrier is the largest of seven businesses operated by US-based United Technologies Corp (UTC), a US$47,8 billion company that owns Sikorsky helicopters, Pratt & Whitney engines, Otis elevators, and Hamilton Sundstrand (which owns Sullair). Carrier has 45000 employees and 78 manufacturing facilities worldwide.
