Briggs adds Terex equipment to branches

09 February 2011

After announcing two weeks ago that it expanded its fleet by several hundred pieces, Dallas-based rental company Briggs Equipment has added Terex compact equipment to its branches in San Antonio, Houston and Austin. The rental company currently carries Terex telehandlers and portable lighting equipment at all of its branches.

"We entered into the agreement because Terex is a very well-known company that has a reputation of providing quality products," says Mike Winemiller, president of Briggs Equipment. "We decided to take on the Terex line now because we needed a source for equipment to serve an increasing number of industrial clients. This new partnership with Terex aligns well with Briggs' long-term plans to develop our national footprint."

Briggs will now carry Terex compact track loaders, tractor loader backhoes, skid steer loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders - compact and heavy, site dumpers, compaction rollers and a tracked utility vehicle. Its total number of units is now at more than 4,200.

According to the company, the goal of the fleet expansion was to meet customer demand, allow for expansion into markets not currently served and to replace older units, "which ensures the fleet remains within performance guidelines."

"We are so pleased to be able to expand our relationship with Briggs Equipment," said Jim Robins, vice president and general manager, Terex Construction Americas "Briggs has a solid reputation of providing quality industrial equipment products to many specialized industries with a total commitment to customer service."
