Brazil’s Armac buys construction rental business

Brazilian rental company Armac Locação, Logística e Serviços has completed the 100% acquisition of Escad Rental Locadora de Equipamentos para Terraplenagem, a €15 million revenue construction rental business based in Santo André, São Paulo.

Escad, which was founded in 1976, rents a fleet of over 600 machines from five locations in southeastern Brazil. The purchase price, including debt, was €29 million.

Armac is one of the largest rental businesses in Brazil with total revenues in 2025 of BRL2.05 billion (€352 million). It said the deal aligned with its expansion strategy and reinforced its presence in a region of Brazil with “high demand and significant economic activity.”

Escad will continue to operate as an independent company within Armac, under the leadership of current Escad CEO Eurimilson Daniel.

The acquisitions is the latest of several that the company has made. In 2025 it bought Termov, Braslift and Engelog.

Armac has grown very rapidly since its founding in 1994 by José Aragão. It now has a fleet of 11,000 machines and 4,700 employees, including 1,000 mechanics and 2,400 operators.

It has 59 service locations around the country and 18 used equipment sales outlets. It reported a 75% compound annual growth rate in revenue between 2019 and 2024.

The company has customers in construction, mining, agriculture/agroindustry, logistics and material handling.
