Boels Rental has ordered more than more than £11 million worth of excavators and telehandlers from JCB.

The deal for 300 machines - including micro and mini excavators, telescopic handlers and rough terrain forklift trucks – is the rental company’s third major order with JCB in three years. All the equipment will be delivered by March this year and brings to 1000 the number of JCB machines in Boels’ fleet.

All the machines are being supplied with JCB’s LiveLink telematics system which monitors service requirements and helps protects them from theft.

Pierre Boels, CEO of Boels, said: “Performance and efficiency were key factors in our decision to purchase the JCB machines. In particular, the fuel savings offered by the Ecomax-powered products are particularly important, as being environmentally responsible is essential to our business.”

JCB’s CEO, Graeme Macdonald, said JCB was delighted to have secured the order; “This is the third year in succession that JCB has won this major business from Boels which speaks volumes for the superior quality, performance and efficiency of JCB’s machines.”

Boels rental operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia and Poland. It has 300 of its own depots and a further 1800 rental locations in DIY and builders merchants stores.
