Bloomberg has reported that Aggreko’s private equity owners, TDR Capital and I Squared Capital, are preparing for a listing on the New York Stock Exchange

An IPO could value the UK-based power rental business at close to US$15 billion. Bloomberg said the owners were also still considering the sale of a minority stake in the business.

The two firms acquired Aggreko in 2021 for around US$3.3 billion. At that time the power firm was listed on the London stock exchange.

Bloomberg said TDR and I Squared declined to comment on its story.

If the owners did proceed with an IPO it would be the latest of a series of listings by major rental businesses, with Ashtead Group shifting to a New York listing as Sunbelt Rentals earlier this month and EquipmentShare’s IPO also this year.
