Battery powered cleaner from V Brøndum

Denmark’s V Brøndum A/S, which manufactures industrial quality vacuum cleaners, has introduced a battery operated version of its well-established 2600H machine.

The new Ronda 2600H Dual Power comes with an integrated Instagrid battery pack with three 230V motors and maximum power output of 2.7kW. The cleaner can also be used with a mains power supply with extension cable.

The manufacturer said the use of the Instagrid battery “distinguishes it from most battery powered vacuum cleaners, which are usually equipped with 24V or 48V motors, which limits the suction power.”

The three motors can be switched on individually. With all three motors in use the operating time is around 45 minutes, while with two motors it is closer to 70 minutes. The maximum operating time using one motor is two hours.

The 2600H, first introduced in 2014, has a wide front nozzle, making it ideal to cover large floor areas.

V Brøndum said cleaning large areas can be difficult because of the lack of power outlets; “It is usually necessary to use a long extension cord, which gets in the way of colleagues and other mobile equipment.

“With the Ronda 2600H Dual Power, you no longer need to worry about cords and sockets.”

Being a class H machine it is suitable for vacuuming fine and/or harmful dust. The filter system on the new dual power unit is the same as the existing 2600H and consists of a multi-tube filter and HEPA filter.

The HEPA filter retains 99,995% of all particles larger than 0.3 μm, said the OEM. It can be cleaned using a built-in cleaning valve without disassembling the machine.

Standard vacuum cleaner accessories such as hose, tube, and nozzles are included, allowing the user to easily vacuum under shelves and other furniture or objects.

The Ronda cleaners were first introduced by V. Brøndum in 1995. The range includes vacuum cleaners, negative pressure units, pre-separators, and carbon filters, as well as accessories. The machines are manufactured at the company’s factory in Silkeborg, Denmark, or at its subsidiary, Ronda Enviro-Vac, in Leicester, UK.
