Atlas Copco buys Louisiana compressor distributor

Atlas Copco has acquired Cypress Equipment Rental, Inc, a portable compressor distributor in Louisiana, US.

Cypress reported revenues of US$17.6 million in 2025 and employs 14 people at its base in Geismar, Louisiana. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

The company serves customers in oil and gas, petrochemicals, abrasive blasting, bridge and pipeline construction as well as offshore services. It will become part of the Portable Air division within the Power Technique Business Area.

“The strategic location between New Orleans and Baton Rouge places Cypress at the heart of one of the most active industrial corridors in the US.”
