Aggreko strengthens HVAC support with senior appointment

Aggreko has added to its industrial HVAC and process temperature control services with the appointment of Chris Smith as head of Temperature Control for the UK and Ireland.

In his new role, Smith will lead Aggreko’s operations across key sectors including manufacturing, data centres and construction, focusing on supporting HVAC contractors, engineers and facilities management companies.

His remit includes providing temporary and supplementary cooling, heating and dehumidification solutions during planned maintenance, system upgrades, temperature spikes and emergency outages.

The company said he will work to enhance its offering by ensuring solutions are properly specified, fleet is optimally deployed, and sites receive the support needed to remain resilient in the face of increasing temperature volatility.

It said the leadership appointment is part of its wider strategy to support customers with integrated energy and temperature control services, including through its Greener Upgrades portfolio which features hybrid systems powered by battery storage and Stage V generators.

Commenting on his appointment, Smith said, “I’m ready to hit the ground running and help our customers futureproof their industrial HYVAC and process temperature control solutions so that it can combat any weather throughout the year.”
