AEM safety manuals now available through National Safety Council

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has announced that its industry-developed Safety Manuals are now available through the National Safety Council (NSC) SafetyAtlas(TM) platform, expanding access to equipment safety resources for employers, safety professionals, equipment operators and workforce training programs.

SafetyAtlas is a centralised hub for safety training, credentials, resources and services from NSC and a network of nonprofit and industry partners. The platform helps organisations discover and manage safety training and resources through a single online experience.

Through a newly formalised partnership with NSC, the North America-based AEM is making its Safety Manuals available through SafetyAtlas to provide an additional channel for organisations seeking resources that reinforce safe equipment operation and risk management practices. The manuals can also support new-operator onboarding, refresher training and ongoing safety education.

AEM Safety Materials have supported equipment safety initiatives for more than 50 years and are used throughout the construction, agriculture and utility equipment industries. Jaime Vos, AEM senior director of safety materials, said,”By making these resources available through NSC SafetyAtlas, we are expanding access to trusted safety information and helping more organizations strengthen their safety culture.”

AEM Safety Manuals are consensus-based resources developed, reviewed and approved with input from equipment manufacturers and industry experts. The manuals cover the preparation, safe operation and maintenance of off-highway equipment and are designed to complement, not replace, OEM operation and maintenance manuals. AEM’s collection includes manuals for more than 50 specific types of equipment.

The partnership complements the recent launch of AEM’s redesigned online Safety Materials store and supports the association’s broader commitment to advancing industry best practices, reducing risk and improving workplace safety outcomes.
