Adapteo appoints interim CEO

Portable accommodation rental busines Adapteo has appointed Teemu Saarela as acting CEO following the decision by previous CEO Philip Isell Lind af Hageby to step down.

Saarela, who took up the new post on 1 February, was already part of the management team as EVP BA Operations and New Markets. He has worked at Adapteo since 2013.

At the same time Jens Moberg has joined as Chairman as of 11 January. Moberg has held executive positions at Microsoft and IBM and is currently Chairman of Grundfos and is on the board of Kirk Kapital.

Adapteo was sold to private equity investors last year.

Saarela said; “We will continue to work according to our business plan building on our great results in recent years. Adapteo has clear ambitions to continue growing whilst simultaneously transforming into one of the leading companies in sustainability in our industry.”

Incoming Chairman Jen Moberg said; “It is an exciting assignment considering the societal and sustainability challenges that Adapteo’s customers, users and stakeholders are facing.

“Adapteo handle these challenges through innovation and a circular business model, and I am looking forward to being a part of that journey.”

Moberg thanked former CEO Philip Isell Lind af Hageby for his commitment to the business and wished him success in his future career.
