Acces Industrie enters Switzerland with acquisition

Acces Industrie has acquired Swiss rental company Gyger Nacelles, a specialist in aerial platform rentals with a fleet of around 1,200 machines.

It will be the French access company’s first entry into the Swiss market and gives it six locations in the country, from the Jura to the Valais regions. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Acces Industrie had 45 locations in France, Spain and Belgium before the addition of Gyger and a fleet of around 15,000 machines.

It said the acquisition was part of its “ambition to build an international network of local experts, as close as possible to the needs of our customers, while preserving the territorial roots and know-how of the companies that join us.”

Family-owned Gyger was based in Glovelier, Switzerland and was founded in 1995.

Its rental fleet includes aerial platforms, mini cranes, telehandlers, mobile site huts and material hoists.
