Wirtgen to sell Prinoth tracked dumpers in Denmark

Wirtgen Group – part of John Deere – is to introduce a new capacity of tracked dumper to the Danish equipment market, following its appointment as the official dealer of tracked vehicles for Italian manufacturer Prinoth.

Prinoth's Panther T14R tracked dumper Wirtgen will introduce Prinoth’s Panther T14R tracked dumper to the Danish market.

Already a long-time dealer of Prinoth’s vegetation management products in the country, Wirtgen’s new distribution deal will see it sell the manufacturer’s Panther range.

This will include the high load T14R dumper model, which will be sold to rental companies in the general construction, power utility and firefighting sectors.

According to Prinoth, the deal will expand its footprint in the Scandinavian country and build on its 15 year relationship with Wirtgen.

Prinoth said the model, which has a capacity of 13 tonnes, will add a new capacity to the Danish equipment market.

The T14R offers a low ground pressure of 524 g/cm² and high manoeuvrability, allowing it to operate in harsh weather conditions.

Alessandro Ferrari, CEO of Prinoth Tracked Vehicles, said, “Ground pressure is the first and foremost reason why tracked dumpers exist.

“Our Panther T14R for example, even when it’s fully loaded with 29,100 pounds (13,200 kg) of payload, exerts only 7.46 psi (524 g/cm²) thanks to its rubber tracks and its unique high travel undercarriage. The advantage is considerable.

“Regardless of the vehicle used, when a driver comes to the end of the way, he needs to back up and turn around to reload or dump. This takes more space and will likely do damage (create ruts or leave marks behind). Tracked dumpers are the perfect solution to this problem.”

Ferrari added, “Some of our models, which will be offered by Wirtgen Denmark, like the Prinoth Panther T7R and T14R are rotating dumpers. This means their upper chassis structure rotates 360° over the lower part of the vehicle. This reduces ground damage, saves time for the operator and increases safety for everyone on the job site with fewer vehicle displacements.”
