Snorkel electric telehandlers for Gerken

Snorkel SR626E‘s collected from Ahern Deutschland’s inventory in Weyerbusch in the Westerwald region

The fully electric SR626E offers a maximum load capacity of 2,600kg and a maximum lifting height of up to 5.79m with completely emission-free operation. The SR626E is powered by 80V 300Ah lithium-ion batteries and can operate continuously for up to six hours between charges, depending on the conditions, and an on-board charger offers full overnight charging.

The SR626E reduces operating costs by up to 60% compared to the diesel equivalent and at the same time minimizes noise and dust generation for a cleaner and quieter jobsite, says the company. Gerken has adopted its “Upward emission free” slogan for its in-house sustainability campaign in which they are increasing investments in zero emission lifting equipment.

Gerken goes green with four Snorkel SR626E fully electric telehandlers

Following a demonstration of the SR626E in mid-2021 on a construction site in downtown Düsseldorf, followed by a detailed product evaluation by the Gerken team, the decision was taken to add four units to their rental fleet. Ordered in December with Ahern Deutschland, the four units were delivered to Gerken from stock held in Weyerbusch.

Assembled in Italy, the four Snorkel SR626E’s are equipped with a Euro fork carriage, suspension seat and non-marking, high grip tyres in addition to the extensive standard equipment.
