Nationwide Platforms provided up to 65 powered access units at any one time during the five-year construction of the Pembroke Power Station.

A fleet of powered access machines from Nationwide Platforms has provided support for the five-year build of the £1 billion (US$ 1.6 billion) Pembroke Power Station, UK, due for completion at the end of this year.

The Pembroke Power Station is the largest power station built in the UK for more than 25 years. The site has had up to 65 Nationwide Platforms units on hire at any one time, with equipment ranging from small scissor lifts to boom lifts capable of achieving heights of more than 40 m.

Nationwide Platforms equipped all boom lifts working in any environment with a trapping risk with its anti-entrapment solution, SkySiren. BlueSky material handling attachments (MHAs) were also provided for the installation and dismantling of materials at height.

Once operational, the Pembroke Power Station will produce enough power to fuel three million homes.
