National Trench Safety appoints CFO

National Trench Safety (NTS) has appointed Van Welch as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Welch will be responsible for finance, accounting and compliance

Having started his career as an accountant, Welch has spent over 30 years working in finance and operations, in which time he has served as CFO at both Mobile Mini and Willsbros Group and held senior roles with Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR).

Welch will be responsible for finance, accounting and compliance for NTS, playing a key role in mergers and acquisitions. He will report directly to CEO Phil Mason.

At portable accommodation and storage rental company Mobile Mini, Welch helped achieve double digit revenue growth and increased cash flow by over 90%.

Prior to this, he helped Willsbros grow from US$600 million to $2 billion in revenue, including multiple mergers.

Ar KBR he progressed through multiple business unit and finance roles before his final position as Senior Vice President, Accounting and Finance.

Welch holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
