Leroy Merlin is a France-headquartered home improvement and gardening retailer serving several countries in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.

To date, LoxamHune has installed rental points in Adeje (Tenerife), Marbella, Malaga and Alcorcón (Madrid). In the second half of the year, those of La Orotava in Tenerife and two more centres in Las Palmas will be added.

The sites offer a wide range of machinery including demolition, cutting, work at height and power generation equipment aimed at the professional sector, including brands such as Hilti or Bona. They also offer carpentry, gardening or cleaning equipment for private customers.

A statement on the agreement said it would allow both companies to offer a quality machinery rental service to individuals and increase proximity to their customers, who are favoured with new locations where they can rent.

LoxamHune will also offers machinery repair or SAT-Inside (Technical Assistance Service).

“Both services, machinery rental and repair, are part of the strategy to promote the circular economy; on the one hand, the same machine is used by several customers who only require occasional use of it, and on the other hand, the useful life of the equipment is extended. Thanks to both services, we promote reuse and greatly reduce the waste generated when disposing of equipment.”

According to Luis Ángel Salas, CEO of LoxamHune, “the agreement with Leroy Merlin is part of our national expansion strategy, based on adapting our collaboration models according to the typology and needs of our customers. The objective is to establish a sustainable model to offer the professional machinery rental service in the centres that require it.”
