High lift pumping

Godwin Pumps of America used April's Bauma to showcase additions to its HL series of pumps for high lift applications such as mine and quarry dewatering and pumping through nozzles or long pipelines.

The HL110M, the HL130M and the HL160M extreme high-lift models provide application flexibility, according to the US company, with lifts to 183 m and solids handling capability to 35 mm. The single-stage design, coupled with automatic self-priming, run dry capability and solids handling capability generates pressures to 183 m, it claims.

“You can't tell from a manufacturer's cut sheet how reliable a pump is,” says Ron Askin, western regional manager of Godwin Pumps. “Reliability comes from a pump seal that can run dry without burning up, a priming system that works better than any other and a heavy-duty design that takes the rugged use our customer's encounter.”
