The former Cramo executive Magnus Rosén has been appointed as the next president and chief executive officer of Ramirent. Mr Rosén, who is expected to start work on January 15 2009, will succeed present CEO Kari Kallio who earlier this year declared his intention to retire from the company in 2009.

Mr Rosén worked for Cramo from 1997 until earlier this year, reaching the position of vice president for Scandinavia. In January he announced that he would be leaving Cramo to join Swedish steel trading company BE Group, but he has now been tempted back into the industry by Ramirent after a short spell at BE.

Peter Hofvenstam, Ramirent's board chairman, said; "We are highly pleased to appoint Magnus Rosén as our new President and CEO. His track record constitutes an excellent background to further develop the Ramirent platform. Magnus' strong leadership skills and result orientation will be an important asset going forward".

Mr Rosén said; "This is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to taking the helm of Ramirent. The entrepreneurial spirit in the company and Ramirent's diversified market portfolio provides a strong base for further profitable growth".
