Lombardy, Italy-based Elevo has taken delivery of two of the first new diesel powered Genie Z-62/40 articulating boom lifts in Italy.

They have already been used for maintenance duties on an industrial jobsite. The Z-62/40 combines a maximum working height of 20.87 m, a maximum horizontal reach of 12.47 m and the ability to reach 3 m below grade with up-and-over positioning capabilities up to 8.13 m.

Sergio Gualandris, managing director, Elevo, said the zero tail swing and fast mast system provides rental opportunities and “allowed it to work in narrow and congested workspaces with limited space for manoeuvering.”

Since Elevo received delivery of its two Z-booms, Genie has introduced its new Boom Maintenance Protocol. “Scheduled maintenance procedures are now standardised across the entire boom family and some of the intervals have been extended. For us, in addition to reducing labour costs, this means that our machines will spend less time in our workshop and more time out on rent,” said Mr Gualandris.
