Denmark’s GSV buys heavy equipment business

Denmark’s largest equipment rental company GSV acquired Mogens Hansen, a small earthmoving equipment rental business, in October.

The deal, for an undisclosed price, adds 12 employees and 22 large earthmoving machines to GSV’s operation.

The business, which was founded by Mogens Hansen in 1977, was described by GSV as “well-functioning and profitable”.

Hansen said; “Now I have decided that it is my turn to step on the brakes a bit. I can do this because I know that my employees will become a new and important part of GSV and that my customers will continue to receive good and personal service.

“I pass the torch on and I must say I do it with pride. In all modesty, I think it is a pat on the back both to our company, but to a large extent also to my skilled employees, that the company is now becoming part of GSV. ”

Dan Vorsholt, CEO of GSV, added; “It is a matter of trust to buy a company that others have put a lot of effort into starting and running - and not least run well.

“That is why I am glad that we can welcome 12 new colleagues here at GSV. They clearly strengthen our offer and service when it comes to heavy equipment, where the new employees work as machine operators - so that is also really good news for our customers.”
